SpinClub Music ("SpinClub", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the SpinClub app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: no ads, no data selling, no surveillance — just the information we need to make the app work for you.
1 Information We Collect
We collect only the information you provide when creating an account and the activity you generate inside the app.
2 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for three purposes only:
To run the app — creating your account, syncing your library and listening history, displaying your groups and reviews, and enabling features like the Album of the Week.
To tailor the app to your taste — surfacing albums you're more likely to enjoy, ordering your library, and remembering your preferences across sessions.
To manage your account — authenticating you at sign-in, recovering access, and processing account deletion when you request it.
3 Apple Music Integration
SpinClub uses Apple's MusicKit framework to stream the weekly album pick through your Apple Music subscription. We do not store your Apple Music credentials or payment information — all Apple Music authentication is handled entirely by Apple. Without an active Apple Music subscription, you can still browse, save albums, write reviews, and use all other SpinClub features; only in-app playback requires a subscription.
4 What We Do Not Collect
SpinClub does not collect, access, or use any of the following:
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or behavioural tracking of any kind.
5 Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Your reviews and group activity are visible to members of the groups you belong to. Information about you (your name and reviews) is not visible to the general public outside your private groups.
We may share information only when required by law, or with service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting), under strict confidentiality agreements and solely for that purpose.
6 Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data — including your name, email, reviews, library, and group membership — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised statistics that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.
7 Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
To delete your account: open SpinClub, go to Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Alternatively, submit a request at spinclubmusic.com/delete-account.
For data access or correction requests, contact us at hello@spinclubmusic.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8 Children's Privacy
SpinClub is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you within the app. Your continued use of SpinClub after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
